Kathryn Scanzillo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 12, 2025.
Kathryn "Kathy" Scanzillo (née Browne), age 82, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Carver, Massachusetts.

Born on June 26, 1943, in Brighton, Massachusetts, Kathy was the daughter of Edmond L. and Esther L. Browne. She grew up in a close-knit family and was one of six siblings. Throughout her life, Kathy remained deeply connected to her roots and carried with her the values instilled during her early years.

Kathy dedicated over 35 years of service to EG&G, where she began her career as a file clerk and steadily advanced to become Services Manager at the corporate headquarters. Her professional journey reflected her determination, diligence, and commitment to excellence. In retirement, she used her knowledge and organizational abilities to assist The Friends of Carver Animals and the Cranberry Village Residents Association.

Outside of work, Kathy found joy in simple pleasures. She was an avid reader who cherished time spent immersed in books. Her love for gardening brought beauty and tranquility into her life and surroundings. She also enjoyed collecting items that sparked her curiosity-a reflection of her thoughtful and inquisitive nature. Her love for her feline friends was legendary and she leaves her beloved Chloe who will miss her " Mom"

Kathy is lovingly remembered by her sister Erina Marcolini; nephew Robert Marcolini; niece Alicia Browne; and numerous other nieces and nephews who were part of her extended family circle. She was predeceased by her parents, Edmond L. and Esther L. Browne; brothers Edmond G., Robert A., and Frederic W. Browne; and sister Lois P. Loomis.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
