Katie, a longtime resident of Santa Cruz, died suddenly on Sunday, April 13, 2008 of undiagnosed coronary artery disease.
Katie is survived by her soulmate and husband Dave Josselyn and wonderful son Taylor Kienholz, her parents Floyd and Marianne Perry, her sister Debi Caldwell, and brother Brian Perry as well as a huge circle of friends who love her dearly.
Cathryn Dawn Perry was born on July 24, 1954 in Sunnyvale, California and graduated from Homestead High School in Cupertino before moving to Santa Cruz in 1973.
Katie was inspiration to her friends and colleagues as she never stopped learning and experiencing personal growth. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and heartfelt laugh, her willingness to help others, unselfishness and generosity of spirit.
She had an adventurous spirit and loved life, including gardening, walking, sailing, art of all kinds, travel, knitting, and enjoying time with family and friends.
Katie often said that she was a spiritual being having a human experience. She was a lifelong seeker of honesty, enlightenment and fulfillment.
Contributions in Katie's name can be made to the American Heart Association or Land of Medicine Buddha. A memorial service will be held on May 4, 2008 at 11 AM at Land Of Medicine Buddha, 5800 Prescott Road, Soquel, Ca.

Brother and wife of Katie's Mother, Marrianne Perry. I have fond memories of baby Kathy as well as good thoughts of her as a loving Mom and thoughful neice. She was taken at too young an age for all of us who knew her and loved her.
