Katie Thelma May, 88, went to be with the Lord May 31, 2006 at her home in San Antonio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bailey Peyton and Maude Medley Carr; brothers, Buford, Bailey, and Charles; sisters, Mary and Gladys; her husband, Merle May and grandson, Andy May. She is survived by her four sons and daughters-in-law, David and Kathy, Gregory and Kay, Howard and Wendy, Thomas and Sue May; grandchildren, Angela and Tom Morgan, Heather, Ryan, Dustin, Kayla, Sarah, Kendra, Peter and Renee, Anna and Will Stephens, Lindsay and Katherine May; great granddaughter, Isabelle Morgan, and a large, loving extended family. She was born in MS, received her RN and practiced public health nursing, graduated from Baylor and attended postgraduate studies at the U of MN. She was an active member of Coker United Methodist Church, John Wesley Class and she mentored many women. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Coker United Methodist Church
