I met Kayla only a few times when she visited my church in Houston. She shined with the love of Jesus. She exuded peace. She made an immediate impression on me. I'm so glad I was able to meet Kayla and her children, even if only briefly. I didn't know her whole story, but I prayed fervently for her and her family and thought of them often. It's so interesting how God brings people together for reasons we will never know. I know I was blessed by meeting her and her children. I know she was someone I would have loved to become friends with. I will continue praying for her precious children and family, that they will have peace and comfort as they adjust to life without her and that her children will grow up knowing the love of Jesus.

Kayla was truly poured out to family, friends, acquaintances and prayer warriors like a drink offering as her departure was at hand. (2 Tim 4:6.) We all saw her fight the good fight, finish the race while keeping the faith. (2Tim 4:7) Thinking of you Deana, Roger, Pheonix (PJ) Hendrix and family with sympathy, love and a prayer that God will bless you every day and keep you in His care as he heals the brokenhearted (Ps 147:3). May you daily share the precious memories of Kayla with each other as you travel through this difficult time.
