Dr. Keith Hull

Fremont - Retired Fremont veterinarian, Dr. Keith Hull, 83, passed away unexpectedly at the Cleveland Clinic Thursday, July 12, 2018. He was born on January 14, 1935 to Russel and Anne (Archer) Hull in Fremont.

Keith graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1953 and then continued his education at The Ohio State University and graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1960. In 1956 he married his high school sweetheart, Lucy Baumann, in Fremont. In 1960 Keith opened the Westview Animal Hospital in Fremont, where he practiced for 40 years until his retirement. He also served as a meat inspector for the State of Ohio for 12 years.

Keith was a longtime supporter of the Sandusky County Fair and served as a director on the fair board from 1964-1979. His love of the Sandusky County Fair led him to collect fair memorabilia and compete annually at the fair in that event. He also enjoyed watching his children show their horses all across the United States. Keith loved to watch both standardbred and thoroughbred horse racing and owned and raced several standardbred horses throughout his life. In his younger days, Keith would spend his free time hunting and fishing. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church and an avid Ohio State football fan.

Surviving is his wife of 58 years, Lucy Hull; daughters, Tracy (Carl Engelman) Hull of Chagrin Falls, OH, and Shelly Hull of Fremont; grandson, Russell Engelman; and brothers, Charles and Stuart Hull both of Fremont.

Keith is preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial Service will be held at First United Presbyterian Church on September 15, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m.
