Kelly Ann Huber Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 29, 2016.
Kelly Ann Pearce Huber, the first child of Cindy L. Maguire and Charles L. (Larry) Pearce, born November 23, 1976 in Austin TX, went to be with our Lord on December 29, 2016. Born into an Air Force family, Kelly lived many places growing up: Dayton, OH; Germany; Redlands, CA; Victorville, CA; Montgomery, AL; Montclair, VA; and San Antonio, TX – which she called home since 1992. She graduated with honors from Clark High School in San Antonio, and earned a business degree, cum laude, from the University of Texas at San Antonio while working full-time with Aetna Life Insurance Company. Kelly was with Aetna for over 23 years – most recently as the Senior Director, National Producer Programs, where she led a team responsible for managing and supporting all incentive and compensation programs in Aetna business lines. A devoted mother, precious daughter, and an "always there" big sister, Kelly loved to coach youngsters (CYO T-ball, softball, and soccer). She was active in Girl Scouts and running the neighborhood swimming team program, as well as filling numerous volunteer positions at her daughters' schools. Kelly enjoyed running half and full marathons, participating in triathlons, cycling, and skiing with her girls. Those left to cherish Kelly's memory include: her daughters, Ashley and Taylor; her parents; her sister Jennifer Schwantes, Jennifer's husband Shawn and their son Garren; her brother Scott and his partner Laura; her grandmothers, Harriette Pearce and Jeannine Maguire; Ashley and Taylor's father, Bill Huber; Ashley and Taylor's paternal grandparents Bill and Peggy Huber; and her fiancé Mike Hunsucker – as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm-8:00pm, Friday, January 13, 2017 at Porter Loring Mortuary North, 2102 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, TX 78232. A memorial celebration of Kelly's life will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, January 14, 2017 at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4201 De Zavala Road, San Antonio, Texas 78249 – with a reception following. A trust fund has been established to help Ashley and Taylor as they navigate this challenging time and grow into amazing young women. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to this fund at https://www.youcaring.com/ashleyandtaylorhuber-734171, or memorials may be made in Kelly's name to the Denver Children's Hospital at http://support.childrenscoloradofoundation.org/goto/KellyHuberMemorial, or the charity of your choice.
