Kenneth "Ken" Arthur Allen passed away at the age of 66 after a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer at Los Robles Hospital on Saturday, June 18th, 2022 in Thousand Oaks, CA. Just as he dealt with all life experiences, Ken stayed strong until the end and showed his courage in facing life always with a smile, he managed his illness with faith and grace. Spending as much time with his loved ones as possible, including his extended family.

Ken was born in Los Angeles, California on October 2, 1955. He was the second son of Ira D. Sr. and Grace Allen.

Ken is survived by his wife of 36 years, Jill, his children Kirsten (John) Thompson, Neal (Maria) Allen, and Glen Allen. He was ecstatic to be a grandpa to his two grandsons, Mason & Oliver (Neal & Maria). He is also survived by his brother Ira D Jr. (Lisa), preceded in death by both parents.

Ken had a love of music and enjoyed sharing that love with his children. He was very involved in his church community and enjoyed Bible study and technical/sound support for worship services. He had a passion for technology which led to an eighteen year career of being a video conference producer, retiring in 2021. He kept people rolling in laughter because he could find humor in the most mundane life circumstances.

One of Ken's biggest accomplishments was being a father and grandfather. His children admired and echoed his deep faith and strong moral character. He was always there for them through their ups and downs and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer. He had a love for dogs and enjoyed spending time with his Australian Shepherd, Skye. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Today is your birthday. You are sorely missed by many. I still have moments where I think I should text dad about that, but then remember. You presence was a blessing, even when I was stubborn and didn´t realize. Words could never express the love and sorrow. 1 Thessalonians 4:17 ""Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord."

Dear Jill and family,
I have no words to tell you how sorry I am that you lost your beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was such an important part of your lives and I know that it will be a hard hole to fill. I have so many good memories of Ken....all our holidays together and of course his "dad jokes". Even at the end he never lost his sense of humor. I will miss his kind presence and good heart. My deepest condolences in the loss of this wonderful man who I will personally miss dearly. All my love, Jeanne

It´s been a week since you´ve been gone and it still doesn´t feel real. Your service on Thursday was wonderful and was a great tribute to your life. I´m lucky to have had you in my life for 38 years, even if you scared me at first . I will miss your humor, your birthday texts and sending you pics of the dominoes cinnamon twists you got me hooked on! I have many great memories with you and will cherish those for years to come. Thank you for being a wonderful uncle! Until we meet again..

Dear Jill and family,
My deepest sympathy and prayers for all of you. Ken had a love and trust in the Lord that was unshaken, as I knew him in our Bible Life Group, and he is now free of pain and in God's loving arms. May you be comforted in your memories, and uplifted by Him.

We never knew Ken in his darker hair days, we were only blessed with Life With Ken, in the last decade. But man what an impact he had on us both. I will always remember his laugh or the way he cracked a joke. If life was measured by Fun, his cup ran over. Ken was a faithful servant and adopted son of Jesus Christ. Ken´s biggest desire was to share Jesus with anyone and everyone. He wanted to share with you how much you were loved by Jesus. I know for a fact through Gods word that Ken was welcomed home by Jesus with a big smile, warm hug, where there is no more pain, no more suffering.
Well Done Good and Faithful Servant.
Until we see each other again. I promise to look after Jill and your family Ken! Love you friend until later
Good bye Ken Adams (Allen, yes I know)

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Marc has fond memories of working (albeit briefly) with Ken and I always loved hearing about your lovely family over the years, and seeing pictures of you two together. He was clearly a loved and treasured man.

I´m so sorry for your loss. I have several great memories of our vacations in CA and going to Knott´s Berry Farm, the Strawberry Festival, Disneyland, Sea World, etc. with you guys. Always such fun and he always had a smile and great "dad joke" to go with it. And recently, we would bond over genealogy of the Allen side and Bigfoot (of all things!) Love y´all!
