Turner has definitely lost one of its best. Kenny truly set the standard of a "stand up" guy in my book. Always ready and eager to help anyone with anything...even a cocky teenage punk who wanted to borrow a dump truck to go for his CDL. "...No problem! Help yourself!...". I enjoyed every encounter and every conversation with Kenny, whether buisness or pleasure. He was certainly someone to look up to, and his presence in our community will never be forgotten, but it will be sorely missed. So, so sorry to the whole family for your loss.

My heart is heavy with sadness at this devastating loss. Ken was a dedicated hard working man, a loving father and faithful friend. I have had the privilege of knowing him for the last six years and have lived across the street for the last two. He always had a smile, a wave and a joke or two. He never hesitated to share fresh veggies from his garden, he would ride over on his golf cart, hand over a bag and talk a while with Little Kenny and myself. We look across the street everyday and it seems too quiet and empty. I keep waiting to see him saunter out of the garage and give me his wave. Every red truck that I pass tugs at my heart. May God bring peace and strength to his family. Hold onto his love, and your memories as they will help you through this difficult time.

As I looked through the pictures, I admired a man that enjoyed life. Whether it was fishing, working, playing, coloring or just being with his family. My heart is so saddened for his wonderful family. I called on him one morning, I knew he was busy sanding his regulars, but I told him my mom had fallen on the ice in her driveway and would it be a possibility for him to sand it. He said he would get right on it and he did because that's what great neighbors did. Thank you Kenny for being a part of our lives. Your wonderful smile will be greatly missed, but will shine on through your daughters and grandchildren.

It is with heavy heart that we mourn the loss our friend & neighbor, Ken Butcher. As many of us in the town of Turner have gone through the last few days in stunned disbelief, several of us reflect back in our memories of growing up with Ken in this small community. We watched Ken growing through teen years, become a respected member of the community; and together with Martha, raised a family of three lovely daughters. We admire the man he became. As we watched Ken rise above life's challenges, every encounter with Ken was a time for a smile, a chuckle & genuine amusement. Ken was respected by all who knew him for his ethical business practices and his contribution to the community out of kindness. As our daughters grew up watching for ‘that red truck' to turn the corner from White Birch Lane onto Lower Street, they were never disappointed as they knew there would be a huge smile and wave coming back their way. As for today...the truck remains silent, our neighborhood feels hollow, and our hearts remain heavy. And...for tomorrow..we know that the road to heaven will be well maintained.

I was sadden and shocked at hearing the news of the passing of your dad.
Your father had such an amazing personality. Always made the best out of the situation and always with a smile on his face. He was truly a special man that touched many lives and he'll be missed dearly by all who knew him. He was blessed with three wonderful daughters and a very special family.
May you take comfort in knowing an angel is watching over you. Hold tight to memories for comfort, lean on your family and friends for strength, and always remember how much you are cared about.
Ken will always have a special place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with Ken's entire family.

Deepest condolences,
Cyncelia F. Perry

Uncle Ken remember how we always had cooking questions that we wanted to ask gram? We never got our answers. I now have all kinds of questions that I want to ask you. I know I will never get the answers that I need, but I know that you will always be there guiding me with your wisdom. The memories that I have of my time with you are full of the lessons that you taught me. I remember the hours that I used to spend standing up behind your seat in that old John Deere excavator, and how you ratchet strapped me into the seat and taught me how much fun it was to play in the dirt. How about the first time you let me run the backhoe at the Great Outdoors, and you couldn't pry me out of it! Well I remember all of those times and more. I remember every thing you taught me and I just wanted to say thank you! Love Little Kenny

Dad, I have no idea where to start. This was something that struck me hard. You were a great part of who I have become. My favorite thing to do as a kid was ride around with you in your trucks. I will never forget that. You had so much more to do here with us, but someone else needed you more. You are keeping me strong through this. I love you dad, forever and always.
