When I am dead, my dearest

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.

I shall not see the shadows,
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.

To the Syrus Family:

Please accept my heart-felt condolences for your loss of Kenneth Ray Syrus, or how I affectionately referred to him as "Kenny Ray". Kenneth and I grew up together and became automatic friends while attending West High. I will be saddened as I think of him not being here on this earthly side, but I know that he suffers no more, and I will see him again someday.

Sincerely,

Byron K. Reed (The Reed Family)

God saw Kenneth Ray getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around him and whispered "come home with me", With heavy hearts and tearful eyes we watched Kenneth Ray pass away. Although we all loved him dearly, we could not make him stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.
We are all deeply saddened by his loss. Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, we will cherish the memories of Kenneth Ray together to help comfort us all tomorrow.
