Kent Bailey, DDS, 61, of North Kansas City, Missouri, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2009. Cremation, with ashes to be scattered at a later date. A celebration of Kent’s life and humor will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11th, at Cascone’s Italian Restaurant, 3737 North Oak Trafficway, Kansas City, Missouri. Kent graduated from Webb City High School, Missouri Southern State College and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He maintained a dental office in Gladstone from the 1970s to the 1990s and practiced in Kansas City, Missouri the past several years. He was a member of the Greater Kansas City Dental Society, Missouri Dental Association and American Dental Association. Kent was an avid fan of Formula 1-IRL racing, loved the muscle cars of the 60s and maintained an extensive library of movies from the 30s, 40s and 50s and music from the 60s and 70s. His greatest loves were his two cats, Mandi and Monty. Kent was preceded in death by his parents Don R. and Alta Bailey. He is survived by his sister Kristen Bailey of Prairie Village, Kansas; ex-wife and friend Dana Eckert of Ellicott City, Maryland; and special friend Sherry Turner of Westwood Hills, Kansas. Memorial contributions are suggested to Midwest Transplant Network, 1900 West 47th Place, No. 400, Westwood, Kansas 66205.
