Kerry C. Kaponis, 56, passed away suddenly on November 28, 2019 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Hartford, CT, he had been a resident of Hamilton before moving to Burlington Township.
Kerry was a graduate of Steinert High School where he excelled in sports. He was an Electrician with the IBEW Local # 269 and currently was working for Huen Electric. He coached his son’s recreational and travel baseball teams, specifically Burlington Township baseball and the West Jersey Rebels and he cheered his daughter on from the sidelines in whatever she did. Kerry was also an avid bowler and golfer. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Jennifer Kaponis (nee O’Hagan) and his children: Emily and Christopher Kaponis. His parents: Kyriakos and Janet Kaponis, his sister: Christine Kaponis-Terry and her husband Kevin, his brothers: Jimmy and Stephen Kaponis, his sister-in-law: Shannon Gliem, his brother-in-law: Barry O’Hagan and his wife Allison and nieces and nephews: Nicole and Keith Terry, Dimitri and Alexis Kaponis, Elijah Gliem and Riley and Avery O’Hagan.
A Celebration of Kerry’s life will be held Friday, December 6th from 1 to 4pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers please send contributions/donations to the American Heart Association.

We just heard of Kerry's passing last night. So saddened by this. He did a lot of electrical work for our home in Hamilton and our new home in Westampton. He was always making us laugh and recommending the best local spots for a quick bite or dinner. My condolences to his family.

My wife and I (John and Maria Salesi) just heard the news today. We are saddened as well as shocked. We knew Keri for as long as weve been living in NJ. About 15 years. Through our family, he became our go-to electrician during this time. From wiring our basement, to installing an outdoor receptacle, he knew it all. The best part is that he explained everything in such detail. You could see in his face how much he loved his work.
He spoke of his family often when working on our home. Over the years, although we saw each other on occasion, it was always nice to see him and chat about anything and everything.
Im still in disbelief. We found out today because we needed more work done and the text back to me revealed his sudden passing. Its so sad. So young.
He would speak about his retirement plan and leaving NJ for somewhere warmer as he installed a new outlet or fixed a broken one. Just so easy to talk to.
May he Rest In Peace and May his family heal during this incredibly sad and rough time.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Kerry and I were in the same apprenticeship class together at Local 269. Jen, Chris and Emily - I have no words that will ease the pain, but I do want to share with you that Kerry truly had a lasting positive impact on Liam and all of the kids that he coached. He played a part in shaping their lives through the game of baseball. He was passionate about the game, playing it the right way, and really wanted to share that passion with any kid who showed an interest in being taught. He was tough but fair... and I had always respected him for that and appreciated his authentic approach especially with my own son. Thoughts and Prayers from the Ayrer family are with you.
