Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 6, 2009.
KERRY KELTNER Loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle, Kerry Lane Keltner, 55, of Las Vegas, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 2, 2009. He was born March 25, 1954, in Rockford, Ill., and was a 53-year resident of Nevada. Kerry was a man that everyone remembered. He was a 1972 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, where he played soccer and was an avid snow skier. He continued on to college, then into business. He was a commercial real estate sales mortgage broker. Kerry was a lifeloyal member of the Zeta Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity and an active fundraising member of charities, including the Multiple Sclerosis Society for the Road to London and Mesquite bicycle rides. Kerry shared a variety of passions throughout his life with friends and family, usually involving the great outdoors, including sailing, pheasant hunting, golfing, waterskiing, motorcycling and bicycle riding. His biggest passion was people and the most important people were his family, puppies and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly "Heidi" Keltner; and the mother of his daughter, Carolyn Jackson. Kerry is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Kris Keltner and Eric Fenstermaker; daughters, Laura Fenstermaker and Krystal Jackson; his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Judi Keltner; sister, Kricket (Marleau) Borsack; and nephew, Kenny Borsack. A memorial Mass will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Christ the King Catholic Community Church, 4925 S. Torrey Pines Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89118. A reception will follow at the church's Community Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Nevada Cancer Institute, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, or to your favorite charity in honor of Kerry Keltner. "Kerry was full of ideas and visions. He had an exploring and inventive mind and was continually seeking to better the world around him. He encouraged us to communicate, help those in need, to enjoy the moments and to love each other. Kerry will be deeply missed by his family and everyone that knew him."

Dear Linda,
Nellie and I are so sorry for your loss. I printed out the pictures from New Years Day when you both came over for McGinty's Birthday. We had such a great time with you both. And how Mikey loved Kerry's porsche, and we photographed him as if he were getting in the driver's seat. I hope you find comfort in the fact that Kerry is at peace, and in his Higher Power's loving arms. Kerry was such a good man with a huge heart. I will miss him greatly.
Love,
Mike and Nellie Spotofora

The last time I saw Kerry was probably 27 years ago. I did not know him well, but when I worked at Lawyers Title, Kerry was in our office often and I will always remember his smile and positive attitude. I was very sorry to hear of his passing and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Kerry was the guy everybody knew and everybody liked. He also had the distinction of being the cutest guy in high school. Kerry always had a smile on his face and always had a smile for you even though you may have not been in his circle. He was always nice and had a nice word for you. Even in later years he never lost that twinkle in his eye.! I'm so sorry for his family, they must take comfort in knowing that he was a great person that was well liked by all who knew him, we will miss him!!

I am very deeply and profoundly sad for all of the Keltner/Fenstermaker family. I will always have the image of a smiling and happy high school Kerry in mind, and more recently a smiling and proud Kerry as he spoke of his family. There are no words to make it better, but in the words of John 14:27, Kerry - "Peace I bequeath to you, my own peace I give to you, a peace the world cannot give, this is my gift to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." God bless all of you - Kerry will be missed.

My Prayers go out to the Family and the Many Many Friends who like myself will never forget his smile and that HUGE Personality. Bobby
