KEVELIN TURNER "VON" - 69, departed this life peacefully August 31, 2018 at U. T. Medical Center after he succumbed to his injuries from a car accident three months earlier. Employed as a Professional Concrete Finisher for over 50 years, belonged to Cement Finishers Local Union, member of Lennon-Seney United Methodist Church. Graduate of Austin High School Class of 1966.
Preceded in death by mother, Lillian Walker Winborn; father, James "Crack" Turner; step-father, Horace Winborn.
Survivors, wife, Beulah Diane Johnson Turner; son, Juan Turner, daughter, Nicole Turner; step-daughter, DeTreece (Darryl) Harris, one grandson; three granddaughters; brother, Brian (Tracey) Walker; mother-in-law, Inez Johnson.
Many other family members and friends that include cousins, Audria McFarland and Alice Butcher; devoted friends, Tyrone Wells, Jacob Carter, William Glass, and Alfred Walker.
Special thanks to Trauma Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit, U.T. Medical Center.
Family will receive friends, 6:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2018, funeral service, 7:00 p.m., at Lennon-Seney United Methodist Church, 2084 Dandridge Avenue, Rev. Dr. Bethel Hendricks, Officiating, Rev. Dr. Elston McLain, Eulogist.
