Kevin T. Bogan, beloved husband, father and friend, died Nov. 4, 2020, at his home.
The youngest son of the late William Bogan and Margaret McQuade Bogan, Kevin was born June 19, 1956, in Valley Stream, N.Y.
Kevin graduated from Valley Stream Central High School, N.Y., where he was a proud member of KAPPA DELTA NU Fraternity (Brother Forever).
A lifelong patriot, Kevin went on to serve honorably in the Navy from 1976 to 1983 as a radioman, petty officer second class. During his enlistment, Kevin was introduced to Lois Stone Bogan, and they embarked on a whirlwind love story that would span a 38-year loving marriage and bring them three treasured children.
Kevin lived in Pottsville for 38 years and was employed by United Metal and Central Penn Transportation prior to retiring.
Kevin was preceded in death by his brother, William E. Bogan.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Stone Bogan; two sons and a daughter, Nicholas Stone, Blackhawk, Col., and Kyle Bogan, of Girardville, and Kelsey Bogan, of King of Prussia. He is also survived by three sisters, Barbara Bogan, of Valley Stream, N.Y., Margaret Greene and her husband, Edward, of Sicklerville, N.J., Geraldine Esnes and her husband, Dennis, of Middle Island, N.Y., as well as nieces, nephews and many cherished friends.
Kevin lived and loved, always with "honor, courage and commitment."
A private funeral service will be held Friday at James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Family and friends are invited to gather between 10:30 and 11 a.m. at the funeral home for a funeral procession to the cemetery. Interment with military honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville. The family asks that any remembrances be sent in the form of contributions made to Hillside SPCA, P.O. Our lives will go on without you, but nothing is the same. We have to hide our heartache when someone speaks your name. Sad are the hearts that loved you. Silent are the tears that fall. Living here without you is the hardest part of all. You did so many things for us. Your heat was kind and true and we needed someone we could always count on you. The special years will not return when we are all together, but with the love in our hearts you will walk with us forever. Love Stephen & Shelly

Lois, you and Kevin were friends we will never forget. Under the worst circumstances, we met and got to support each other through very rough times. We will never forget the fight Kevin had in him or the love he had for you (and your cooking!). You and Kevin were an inspiration to us, especially my husband, and we are grateful to have met and spent time with you both. Warmest wishes and healing on your journey, Kevin will be missed by many.
