Kevin Headrick 1966 2008 We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of Kevin James Headrick, husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Kevin passed away on Saturday August 9th 2008 in Edmonton at the age of 42 years. He was predeceased by his father, Irvin Headrick and his grandparents, Alice and William Headrick, and Pearl and John Grimm. Kevin is survived by his wife, Gail Nest of Edmonton; his mother, Racie of Saskatoon; siblings, Barry of Saskatoon, Gloria (Armand) Vermette of Edmonton, Bev (Frank) Urquhart of Swift Current, Brenda (Luc) Daniel of Saskatoon, Gayle (Bill) Dixon of Regina, Donna (Lorne) Brakstad of Sherwood Park, Shelly (Dave) Ferguson of Saskatoon, Lori (Rob) Goheen of North Battleford, Sherry (Don) Garvie of Saskatoon; and numerous nieces and nephews. Kevin was born January 3rd 1966 in Prince Albert. In grade four, the family moved to Saskatoon where Kevin attended Brevoort Park and Alvin Buckwold elementary schools and Walter Murray highschool. He was a gypsy at heart and lived in many different places and experienced many different things. This included a brief career with the military, but in the end discovered his natural talent was working with his hands in the automotive industry. Throughout Kevin's life he never lost his love of nature, animals and the outdoors. Whether he crossed paths with an injured bird or a wounded animal, Kevin made sure the animal would not suffer needlessly and would nurse it back to health. Kevin and Gail settled in Edmonton where they resided together for the past few years. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to your local SPCA or any addiction service agency. The Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 16th at 1:00 p.m. at Saskatoon Funeral Home ( 4th Ave. and 25th St.) followed by a reception at the W.A.Edwards Family Centre.
