Dear Aunt Mardy, Teri and boys,Joan, Nancy, Mary and all the sisters,

Although most of us have not had the pleasure of seeing you for many years, please know that you are always included in any gathering of the Wylie//Burke's. We talk about you, laugh about our times together, treasure those times together. Please know that we are deeply moved and saddened by the loss of Kevin who for some reason had to go like his father and our grandfather. Surely they welcomed him, as does his brother, the first Kevin whom I personally remember with fond memories. All our love to you. We are holding you in our thoughts daily.

Kevin always had a smile and an enthusiastic greeting for our son, even many years after coaching him in flag football and tee ball. You could also see what a wonderful father he was in the way he interacted with Sean. We will always remember his kindness and his words of encouragement for players of all levels. We will miss his presence at the parks. It was a joy to know him. Our condolences,

I met Kevin thru my work with the Friends of the Alpharetta Library book sale. Kevin's oldest was a year younger than my daughter and we talked about sending them off to school and a number of issues. I would often seek his opinion on books we were setting aside to bring over to Alpharetta Elementary School's library where he volunteered with Ann Schaub.

My sympathy to everyone in Kevin's family. I am deeply sorry for Kevin's untimely loss. I am Nancy's good friend and have met some of you. I send a special note of sympathy to his children, his wife and his mom. I will pray for your comfort and strength during these difficult days.
From the notes I have read on here Kevin was a wonderful person well-liked and loved by many. That is a terrific legacy and hopefully something that will bring you peace.

Kevin was on of the nicest persons I have ever met. I have had the privilege to coach his son in football on 2 occasions. His son and of course Kevin have both been a dream to be around. You always left your conversations with Kevin smiling. Hence the nickname "Smiley Wylie". The Nickel family's prayers are with the entire Wylie family. He surely will be missed but not forgotten.

Wylie family,

We are so saddened to hear about Kevin's passing. We were blessed to have him as our son Payton's coach when Sean and Payton played basketball together. Although we didn't get to know him deeply, it was obvious how much he cared about kids and his community. I saw him several times recently at the football fields and he never failed to have a smile and warm greeting for me and especially Payton. We know his passing is a tremendous loss for your family and our community, and we will be praying for you all.

We have known the Wylie family since Sean & our daughter Celia were in Kindergarten together. Kevin was such a joy to be around. He truly was a "Super Dad" and very generous. I saw him more than any other dad at AES over the years helping in the Media Center and other school events. Our kids took Irish dance class together and he was such a supportive parent. He was taken too soon from this world, but he will make Heaven a little brighter now. All our blessings to his family.

October 9, 2012

I was shocked and saddened by the news of Kevin's passing. He, and the whole Wylie family, are in my thoughts and prayers. Kevin was more than a brother-in-law, he was more like my brother. He always had kind words and smiles for everyone, and his love for his family was obvious in everything he did. He and I enjoyed having discussions about politics, sports (he was a Dodgers fan), and life in general; while we didn't always agree (especially on politics)our discussion were enlightening and pleasant. Unfortunately, our get-togethers (and discussions) were far too rare in recent years. Kevin truly was a "nice guy" (make that a great guy) and he will be sorely missed.

October 9, 2012

Our heartfelt thoughts and our prayers are with you. We will pray that your family's memories give you strength and that they eventually bring you comfort. He touched many lives and his kind ways will be remembered by many.

Kevin touched so many lives and it is really difficult to say in words how much he will be missed. Our hope is that his family will remember and continue his positive outlook. He always smiled and treated everyone with such kindness. I see that same kindness and smile in Sean. What a truly wonderful man! Our family is sending you all many prayers during this difficult time.

While working as a substitute teacher at AES, I have had the pleasure of working in Sean's class on many occasions. I also have had the pleasure of witnessing the love and adoration Kevin had for Sean and Sean had for Kevin. One memory that stands out is Kevin wearing a Native American headdress while eating the Thanksgiving feast next to Sean. What a lovely man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are by Kevin's passing. I had the pleasure of getting to know Kevin through our sons. He was a kind and gentle soul who always had something positive to say. I was the room mom in our sons' class for several years. Kevin was always the first to volunteer for events. It was obvious he loved being at the school an adored his children. Kevin will be greatly missed in our community. We are praying for your family and here to offer any support that is needed.

I will always remember Kevin for his smile and great conversation. He always volunteered in my classroom and the kids were excited when they knew Mr. Wylie was coming in to help with the class store. He was so kind and caring to everyone he met. My favorite memory is sitting with Sean and Kevin at a Chick-Fil-A Family Night. We had great conversation and laughter. I looked at my watch and then noticed it was 8:30pm and that we had chatted for over an hour. Kevin will be deeply missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time.

Kevin was a wonderful brother-in-law: kind and courageous, bright and warm hearted--in short, a true child of Arthur and Marjorie Wylie. He reminded me of his father, who also died too young and also loved his family no end. It is easy to imagine Arthur and Kevin now sharing a joke with the great Author of good humor and endless love.
