Many years have passed since my family stood with your mom, dad, and siblings to watch you and my brothers play soccer, but our fondness for your family hasn't faded. The same can be said about Kim. While in school, we rode the same bus, and she was always quick to share a smile. She had such a warm heart then, and from what I have read, she continued to share that warmth throughout her life. Her warmth and caring is her legacy to all who had the privilege of knowing her at any point of their lives.

I was greatly saddened to hear of the sudden loss of Kim. I was a faculty member in the School of Nursing at Illinois Wesleyan University during the time Kim was a student. I so looked forward to seeing her at the celebration in April!

I spent my impressionable years growing up just down the road from Kim and the rest of the Swartouts in Roscoe. They are some of my happiest memories, back when playing outside with friends was more the norm than playing video games and watching tv.
