Lamont Green Obituary
Lamont Savalas Green, 46, died Saturday, April 11, 2020 in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born January 5, 1974 in Poplar Bluff, Mo to the late Billy R. Green Sr. and Ney Ruth Clemons (Green).
Lamont was a graduate of Poplar Bluff Senior High School and attended St. Charles Community College in St. Charles, Mo. He was an employee of Crawford Security in Poplar Bluff at the time of his death. His childhood was spent attending Plesant Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
He enjoyed taking drives to the lake, watching boxing, spending time taking nature walks with his family and working. Lamont genuinely loved people and was real with everyone he met. He loved reading his bible and watching bible stories. He would always say,"when you meet someone you should leave them better off than you found them". He gave encouraging words to others no matter who they were. Lamont lived his life everyday under those principals.
In addition to being raised by his parents, he shared many memories and received guidance from his Aunt Dorothy Hunt (Granny Dear).
He was the father of four children, Amonte Coleman-Green, AveryGreen, Shenisa Dunn and Mayah Green, along with two grandchildren. He also leaves behind his beloved companion, Stacy Roach, her children; Dylan, Riley, Rylan Roach and Mayah Green. Six brothers, three sisters, many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A private visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Driver Funeral Service Chapel, 523 W. Murray Ln., Sikeston, Mo. 63801
Due to the Coronavirus guidelines and restrictions, social distancing will be adhered to during visitation.
Online condolences can be made at www.driverfuneralservice.com. Driver Funeral Service of Sikeston, Mo. is in charge of arrangements and services.

Lamont, as a student, spent lots of hours with me as his instructor at Mules Cafe. He was the type student who as he came through the door, made me feel everything would go well that day because he was there! He was so pleasant, calm, & cooperative that when times got stressful, I knew Lamont could be counted on to help pull us through. He was such a joy & truly was a young man of high character who was called home too soon! Thankful our paths crossed. Praying for his family!

Lamont, things won't be the same me seeing you around and you asking me "how's life treating me?" and the talk of working out and childhood memories from classic music we grew up to church and weekends and Sunday morning breakfast and dinners with grandmother dear will not ever be forgotten, those are special times in life that we will always cherish. Lamont was a friend since childhood we went to church camp and played AAU Basketball together. I will miss him and this is no easy death for me as we had been friends until this day. He loved his family and friends and was a true man in the community. I pray for his family to have peace as they lay this King to rest.

In a world full of hate and darkness, there was Lamont who shine a light and showed others love. He worked security where I worked and when he worked I knew we would be safe. He was ALWAYS nice. He would tell me, have a good night mam. He never asked for anything and always left you with a smile. He will be missed.
