We were in a mom's group together with Chance and my daughter Alyssa. Lana was always a wonderful friend and mother.

From our early parenting days in Gymboree, sharing 1st steps & words & haircuts lol, our two kids were born 2 wks apart (& we later learned Lana & I were too - how cool is that?!). They were two peas in a pod & fun to watch grow. Play dates, lunches at BigBoy, museums, the zoo, feeding New Richmond with ducks, years of birthday parties, bikes with no training wheels, sports, and suddenly proms, the military & college, his son, her wedding, and more. Yes, it feels like a lifetime because it´s been a lifetime - THEIR whole lives! I continue to be thankful we had the journey together. So much laughter, occasional tears, and everything in between. Geography didn´t stop us, just wish I´d gotten to visit one more time. Thankful for our last conversation. I wouldn´t change a thing ... other than this ending. You put up a hell of a fight my friend, rest in peace Lana.

I am heartbroken to learn of Lana´s passing. We first met in Cincinnati at Gymboree when Chance and my son Bradley were "crawlers." They became best buddies and Lana and I became close friends. Some of my fondest memories of Ohio are with Lana and Chance and play dates at parks, museums, the Cincinnati Zoo and a Reds baseball game. Lana was devoted to her family and passionate about advocating for others in Pierce Township. She made this world a better place with her passion, her fighting spirit, her laughter, her friendship, and her love. Her vibrant star will shine brilliantly for eternity, to be loved and never forgotten. Will miss you sweet friend - Sally Barnhart

Just found out about your passing! You had a heart of gold and yes, always a smiling face. I enjoyed working events with you when the kids were in school. You said it like it was and didn't sugar coat a thing. An absolute real woman! You will be dearly missed. Am sure you are sharing your smile and all the joy that you have in heaven! Prayers to the family!

Oh man Aunt Lana....some of the best times of my life were spent with you. You were my constant confidant and my second mom. I told you all my secrets. I always admired you so much and I always thought you were the coolest. I will miss you as much as I miss my own mother. This has been a loss just as deep as her. I see that I am not the only one hit so deep with this loss. I will always love you. . I am proud to be your niece, your name sake and when I look in the mirror, I see you and mom....all my love for eternity. Gailee

Aunt Lana, would share her journey through cancer with me. She endured so much and with a bright attitude. We would share doodle pictures with one another because our dogs bring joy. I´m sad there was not 1 more special visit, FaceTime or call. Love you Lana! Many hugs and prayer to Uncle Don and kids.

Lana was like another mom to me. My heart breaks for my cousins and Uncle Don. She fought cancer with the courage of a warrior, still making time for her entire family. I will forever remember and admire her for her love of life, love of fun and kindness. I'll miss my Aunt Lana until we see each other again in Heaven.
