Larry Joe Lathrop, 60, of Rice Lake, Wis., died Tuesday at his home.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1955, in Rice Lake, Wis., to Robert and Elrita (Richter) Lathrop. Larry attended school in Rice Lake and then worked for a traveling carnival. He entered the United States National Guard and was active for many years.  Larry also worked for several construction companies.

Larry could fix anything and loved helping friends and family with their projects. His daughters were his whole life.

Larry Lathrop is survived by his three daughters, Amanda Lathrop of St. Paul, Kelly Lathrop and Lisa Lathrop both of Amery, Wis.; three brothers, Jim Lathrop of Rice Lake, Wis.I, Dan (Luann) Lathrop of Haugen, Wis., and Steve Lathrop of Barron, Wis.; five sisters, Jan (Larry) Fetkenheuer of Rice Lake, Wis., Sue (Lonnie) Gifford of Cameron, Wis., Carol Lathrop of Rice Lake, WI, Linda (Brad) Parmeter of Osceola, WI and Kathy (Barry) VanGilder of Eau Claire, Wis.; many nephews and nieces. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elrita Lathrop; a brother, Bobby; and a niece, Laurel Lathrop.

Funeral services will be held 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake, Wis., with Fr. James Powers officiating, with interment in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Dobie, Wis. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at Appleyard's Home for Funerals.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated.
