Larry Wayne Meade, Sr. entered this world on October 14, 1948 at the home of his parents, Juanita (Nelson) Meade and Arthur Tot Meade, in Achille, Oklahoma. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 20, 2015 in Denison, Texas at the age of 67 years, 2 months and 6 days.
Larry grew up in the Achille area along with his many brothers and sisters, attending and graduating from Achille High School. He moved to Arlington, Texas where he worked for Hales Trailers for many years. He also worked for the Arlington School Systems as well as working for What-A-Burger Corp. It was during these years that he met and married the love of his life, Patricia (Marsh) Meade, on June 22, 1994. They spent 21 loving years together.
Larry loved to play cards and was a fierce domino player, winning many trophies along the way. He loved to fish, cook, and he loved being with his family. He always had a smile ready and was always ready to lend a hand. He and Pat loved to watch their Achille Eagles play basketball, and many times would provide food and drinks for the players. Larry will be sorely missed by his family and his Achille community.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother Coy Meade, brother-in-law John Williams, nephews Bo Meade and Richard Williams, son Tony Marsh and son-in-law Jim Enoch.
He leaves behind his beloved wife Pat, daughters Judy Meade, Sheri Windschitl and husband Mark, Marcie Enoch; sons Larry Meade Jr and wife Jennifer, Carl Meade and wife Beverly, Kerry Fisher and wife Stacey; brothers Royce Meade and wife Ann, Bobby Meade, Jerry Meade, Ray Meade and wife Kathy, Terry Meade, Nicky Meade and wife Janie; sisters Betty Sammons and husband Bill, Billie Williams, Vickie Ballard and husband Mark; grandchildren Jaren Marsh, Ricky Meade, Lee Vargas, Johnathon Hernandez, Liliana Hernandez; Matthew Meade, Ashtin Meade, Christopher Compton, Colby Compton, Troy Meade; Chase Stafford and wife Elizabeth, Colin Stafford, Cassie Meade, Zaylee Meade; Seth Fisher; Amanda Windschitl, Courtney Windschitl; Starsha Rangel; Ashley Hicks, Patricia Gutierrez and husband Darrell; 10 great grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of dear friends and relatives.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the Achille High School Auditorium. Bra Mark Gunnels will be officiating.
