I met Latisha while we were both attending Merced College & we shared a friendship for many years. She was the most devoted mother & I have much respect for her. Her grief was unimaginable. Im gonna miss her. But I know she is in a better place & comforted by the love of Jesus & her daughter.

I just happened to read Latisha's obit. because she was young and also my daughter's age. I too was/am a single parent who raised my daughter on my own. I went back to school and got my degree too. I'm very close with my daughter also so I felt Latisha's pain just reading about her daughter's cancer and death and how close they were. I'm sorry for the loss of moma and her mija. I can't even imagine what Latisha went thru and now what her family and friends are going through. God bless you all.

Latisha left us with a story of love and a mission to change the lives of other children diagnosed with cancer. Larayna and Latisha shared their love and their lives fully. She was a loving, supporting and generous soul. She did everything she could for Larayna, and was lost without her. Latisha did all she could to honor her and donated to the AYJ Fund to support the research of Larayna's cancer, so one day others would have effective treatments and we would not have to face the loss of these beautiful lives. <3 Together Forever.

Latisha was a true friend, she was my best friend. We met through our daughters diagnosis´ of Gliomatosis cerebri, and we just clicked. I felt like I had known her my entire life. When our kids had cancer, Latisha and I became reliant on one another for support as our daughters battled cancer. She was one of the few that understood.
Larayna passed away exactly one month after my daughter Kailyn. Latisha and I went through the deepest pain a human could ever have to experience. I got to know Larayna through Latisha, she loved Larayna fiercely. I got to know and understand the beautiful life they shared together.
I admired my friend, a lot. She built a life, all on her own, for Larayna at such a young age. Through Larayna´s cancer, Latisha cared for her passionately, it tore her into pieces that she couldn´t take her cancer away from her. Latisha and Larayna shared a deep and close mother daughter bond. she never left her side
I miss her so much. You know how people search for a true friend they can share anything with, well Latisha was that true and loyal friend, even through her pain and sadness because I understood her and she understood me. I´ll miss our hours on the phone just talking about life, about our daughters especially and how much we loved them. Im grateful to have had her as a friend, I also feel at ease for her that her and her beautiful daughter are in one another´s arms again. I love you my friend from Cali Amy
