Laura Gallo Obituary
Laura was involved in many civic organizations, as well as local and state politics since she was 18. She held a seat on the City Council and was Deputy Mayor of Meriden. She also loved music, travelling, and going on cruises with her girlfriends. Laura's family was everything to her.
She is survived by her niece, Jessica Wanczyk, with whom she had a special bond, her sisters, Kathryn Gallo and her husband Chad, and Lisa Janko and her husband Scott. She also leaves behind two special nephews, Derek and Tyler Janko, her aunts, Rosalie Scarfi and Marietta Favarger, her uncle, Joseph Scarfi, her aunt, Dorothy Flis, and numerous cousins and extended family.
The funeral service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405. Mrs. Gallo, Lisa, Kathryn and Family, My sincere condolences on the passing of Laura. Although she was a couple of years ahead of me in high school, I did not get to be friends with her until we both worked together at Aetna. Laura, Bonnie, Melanie and I had many great times together including a weekend trip to Boston, fun times out on Friday nights and fun times at Cape Cod. Laura was a great person with many talents and she will be missed by many. May Laura Rest in Peace, free from suffering. My thoughts and prayers are with you all as you navigate this time of grief.

My deepest condolences to the Gallo family. Laura was an amazing woman who gave so much to our community and to the elderly as well. I always looked up to her like a big sister and looked to her for career advice. I feel that I was honored and blessed to have known Laura. I will miss her dearly.
