Lauryl Jane Sabaroff

Lauryl Jane Sabaroff (née Gasporatti), born on February 4, 1949, in Germany, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2024, at the age of 75 in Laguna Beach, CA. A distinguished alumna of Laguna Beach High School and the University of California at Irvine, Lauryl earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Engineering, which paved the way for her successful career. She was a true genius.

Lauryl was a respected Quality Control Management Executive for several leading computer companies, a role that highlighted her expertise and dedication to excellence. Her professional achievements allowed her to retire early, dedicating her time to her passions and community engagements.

After retirement, Lauryl immersed herself in the arts, particularly painting, watercolors and ceramics. She was not only a passionate artist but also a generous mentor, teaching ceramics for many years. Her hobbies included, decorating her Laguna Beach cottage, walking her beloved Woods Cove beach, gardening ( She was recognized for her beautification of Laguna Beach) and reading extensively, enriching her knowledge and sharing it with those around her.

Lauryl was a devoted attendee of the Metta Forest Monastery, where she found great peace and community with Thanissaro Bhikku, former abbot at Metta Forest. Her spirituality and commitment to her faith were evident in her everyday actions and the kindness she showed to others.

Lauryl's legacy will continue to live on through her art and the many lives she touched. Lauryl's life was marked by her profound impact on her community, her unwavering integrity in her profession, and her dedication to her personal passions and beliefs.
