I had the pleasure of seeing all the Genesis ladies last December at my mom's house before my mom moved to assisted living in Milwaukee. What a treat it was to see LaVonne and the rest of the Genesis group. LaVonne was full of spirit and looked beautiful. I won't forget that day or her.

Sending many prayers for LaVonne,

Dear Bigelows,
I and my family remember you all very fondly from our years as neighbors and friends on Garfield Avenue. Your mother was always a strength and friend to me during those challenging years of raising our big families.

Our family never fails to mention you when we get to reminiscing at our holiday reunions! I will never forget the sad day you moved away, and how you could not get one more thing on the van, including John's little wooden stool, and so he gave it to David! Believe it or not, I have painted that little stool many times and still use it in my kitchen!! We still call it John's stool!!

I send you my condolences and prayers. I have no doubt that LaVonne will be much rewarded for her goodness and beautiful life.

Dear Cousins,
this is a prayer of gratitude for your mother, Dearest Lavonne, and all the special gifts of self that she shared with all of us. Her courage, compassion, love and acceptance have been greatly appreciated. She has been a model of compassionate dignity. The personal sharing of the passage of your most loved mother is a tribute to the generosity of her Mother Spirit. Thank you for sharing these last lessons of your dear mother with all us.

May the loving kindness and tender mercy you have shown by the exercise of grace and compassion throughout this experience bless you with the bloom of peace.

with much love, and respect,

Annette Maghrak Charmchi

Psalm 131

A Song of Ascents

O Lord, my heart is not proud, my eyes are not raised too high;

I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me.

But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; my soul is like the weaned child that is with me.

To the Bigelows: It has been such a long time, but I remember as a child your' mother's kindness and caring when visiting your home. Her carefully cut tuna sandwiches served with lemonade for us as we took a break from playing. Prayers and sympathies to your family. I'm grateful your family was part of my life growing up.

Lavonne was such a kind and sweet woman. I loved being around her when I was in Minneapolis. She always had the most wonderful recipies she was willing to share. Her children have inherited her wonderful spirit. To all her children and wonderful grandchildren, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Nancy Gormley
