I will miss him a lot for all the things he did for me in my younger days. All the home movies he shot of me and my siblings, showing them to us forwards and then backward. Also the tales of his adventures and places he and Betty had visited. I always enjoyed their visits and he will be fondly remembered by me forever. Your Godchild David Belanger

You will be greatly missed. Your kindness, caring and lovely stories will never be forgotten. Remembering you taking me to mass on Sundays then to the Richmond bakery was one of my favorites. You were a great uncle to me and I will forever, remember you.
With Love,
Your nephew

Our sincere sympathies on the passing of Lorne. It seems he and Betty provided special memories for many - certainly the McLaurins. Whether it be memories of hunting, fishing or fighting over who would get to ride back from the cottage with Lorne and Betty (a guaranteed stop at Dairy Queen) our memories are plentiful and our smiles are full. We know he is back with Tom regaling everyone with the biggest fish stories. Thanks for the giggles Lorne. The McLaurin Family.

Lorne was the most delightful neighbour anyone could hope for and has been noticeably absent on the street in recent months. He will be sadly missed but very fondly remembered. Our deepest condolences go out to the family.

Our heart-felt condolences to the family and friends of Lorne (Lawrence) Whitty. His family, parents and his brothers were well-known in Woodroffe. Lorne, as my brother Fred said to me, told him many stories of the old days in Woodroffe that had you at once amazed and then laughing because of the way he told it. I appreciated reading his story in River, Road & Rail -- Woodroffe Memories. Peter Jenkins, rep of Jenkins family, Woodroffe residents from 1932-2007.
