Lee Roy Wynn, age 88 of Brentwood, Missouri, was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 10, 2022. He was born on Wednesday, October 25, 1933 in St. Louis, Missouri, one of three sons born to the late Herbert and Irene (nee Mattox) Wynn. After graduating Ritenour High School in 1951, Lee continued his education and earned a Bachelor's degree at University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri and was in the ROTC program and played baseball. After college, he honorably served our country for two years in the Army. He then worked 33 years teaching and coaching in the Brentwood School District. He taught elementary P.E. and second and third grades, as he preferred the younger children and being able to teach all of the subjects. He also coached football and baseball for the high school. During his career, he continued to take classes and received his Master’s degree from Washington University. In addition to his teaching career, Lee also served the City of Brentwood as an alderman for a total of 24 years.
Lee was married to the love of his life, Emily Geiger, on July 19, 1963 in Prosser, Washington. They were blessed with 58 years of marriage, three sons, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They also were long time, faithful members of Destiny Church in Des Peres, Missouri, which is now called Alive Church.
Lee is survived by his loving wife, Emily; three sons, Scott Wynn, Paul (Sandra) Wynn, and Gary (Jenny Foreit-Wynn) Wynn; seven grandchildren, Emily (Joshua) Dyan, Cpt. Andrew "A.J." Wynn, Amanda Wynn, Joseph Wynn, Noah Wynn, Ripley Wynn, and Ruby Wynn; three great-grandchildren, Linus, Sullivan, and Minnie; along with extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wynn and Irene Wynn Downing; and two brothers, Rev. Herbert N. F. (Marlene) Wynn and infant Robert Wynn.
Services: Memorial at Alive Church, 1809 Des Peres Road, St. Louis, Missouri on Saturday, May 21, 2022 with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the Service at 11:00 a.m.
