LeeAnn Mekkattukulam Jose

LeeAnn Mekkattukulam Jose was born on May 27, 1999 at St.Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She went to be with Our Lord on March 19, 2016.
She was a vivacious, beautiful, intelligent, devout gift from God, treasured and loved by all her family and many friends. She leaves behind her loving father and devoted mother, Dr. Mathew M. Jose and Mrs. Priya Jose and two wonderful brothers, Joseph and George. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Annie M. Jose and maternal grandfather and grandmother, Mr. Joy Koyithara and Mrs. Mani Joy. She is also survived by her paternal aunt, Shaly, and uncle, Paul, and cousins Tony, Anna, and Tommy. Other living paternal family members include Raine Aunty and cousins, Jonathan and Mia. On the maternal side she has two uncles, Jeevan, and George and Indu Aunty and cousins Ryan and Ian. She is also survived by a maternal aunt, Maya and uncle, John, and cousins, Paul, Chris, and Dylan. LeeAnn was preceeded in death by her paternal grandfather, Dr. M.J. Jose and paternal uncle, Mr. Joseph M. Jose.
She was a very active junior in Wapakoneta High School. She was a member of the Tennis Team and ran Cross Country. She was a member of French Club, Octagon Club, Robotics Club, and 4-H Club. She was proficient at playing piano. She played clarinet in the Wapakoneta Symphonic Band and Marching Band. She also played Marimba in the Drumline. LeeAnn was extremely active and devoted to St. Joseph Catholic Church, being a lector, Eucharistic Minister, Altar Server and singer in the Adult Choir. She was an avid volunteer at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was involved in different forms of dance for the past nine years. She was a participant in the Scripps National Spelling Bee for two years. LeeAnn was always doing something or planning her next activity, she was hard to keep up with.
LeeAnn had many varied interests. She loved to travel, to cook, and to try new things. Her smile and enthusiasm warmed everyone who met her. She never met a stranger; her grace and charm made everyone feel welcome. She is irreplaceable and her memory will be forever etched in our hearts.
Family and friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home, 1102 Lincoln Ave. (State Route 501), Wapakoneta. A Roman Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday March 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Father Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to scholarship fund established in LeeAnn's memory or St. Joseph Catholic Church.
