Lenna Wyatt Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 11, 2024.
Lenna C. Wyatt, known also as Lenna C Brown, peacefully passed away on July 12, 2024, at age 85, in Scottdale, Arizona. Born on March 7, 1939, in Waycross, Georgia, Lenna was a cherished member of the community and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Lenna was a lifelong learner and creator, mastering a variety of crafts such as woodworking, furniture refurbishing, sewing, crocheting, and more. Her homes were famously decorated to the nines for the autumn and Christmas seasons, reflecting her love for festive occasions. An avid viewer of classic movies and favorite shows like "Murder She Wrote," Lenna also dedicated time to following her favorite TV pastors and engaging in Bible studies.

Professionally, Lenna contributed many years to Motorola Inc. in Scottsdale, Arizona, as a circuit board technician on the night shift, a role she balanced with raising five children. Her educational pursuits included studies in the Bible and World Religions at Arizona Bible College, Moody Bible Institute, and ASU during the 1960s and '70s.

Lenna was a long-time member of the Scottsdale Bible Church, where she not only attended services but also volunteered her skills by typing bulletins in the mid 1960's and singing in the choir alongside her husband for many years.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and creativity, survived by her five adult children, Kim Baker, Rebecca Phillips, Pamela Gleason, Marka Brown, Lantz Brown, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren and two sisters. Lenna was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Wyatt and Theresa Marie Greenwood; her husband, Floyd Brown; her sister, Patricia Grady Westbrook; and her niece, Kelly Grady.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 7, 2024, at 10:30 am at the Scottsdale Bible Church - Chapel, located at 7601 E Shea Blvd, Scottsdale, AZ 85260.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arizona Care Hospice at 12035 N Saguaro Blvd. Suite #101, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268. Angels Cremation and Burial in Mesa, Arizona, is assisting with the arrangements.

One of the many special things about grandma was that she was a gift giver with such intentionality. Every holiday and special occasion she would begin months before looking for the perfect gift or handcrafting a gift to fit each family member's personality, to correlate with their hobby or interest, or align with their favorite color preference- a true labor of love! She would also always make sure that anyone who was a guest or visitor would have a gift too.

She spent so much time decorating for her favorite holidays, which brought her such joy. Her mobile home was always the talk of the neighborhood- especially during fall and Christmas, which were her favorites.

There are so many things that I will miss about my grandma, but this is just one of the unique things about her that made her so amazing. God created her with a special gift of artistry and ingenuity that we were also blessed to be recipients of.

It is difficult expressing my feelings on paper, as the loss is deep and my heart weeps often as I find myself thinking of my dear mom. She loved and taught me so much during my life and I will miss her always and for the rest of my life here in this realm. Till our Creator God brings our souls together again mom, I love you forever.

I always known her to be kind and warm and always with Hi and big smile anytime I visited her nephew. Now she's in heaven with Jesus. I was fortunate to know you

She would help direct me to verses in the Bible to study. Always enjoyed visiting my Aunt Lenna during our Christmas get togethers.

A cherished memories I have in the weeks just before mom's passing, she would be slid down in bed, while my 3 sisters and I were caring for her, we would place ourselves on each side of the bed, grab a sheet and slide her back up again. Mom would giggle and say "That was so fun! Do it again!" Then we would all giggle too. It was very precious each time we did this.
