Leon Walter "Bud" Collins died peacefully at home on March 10th at the age of 91. Born on July 28, 1918 in Niagara Falls, NY.He graduated from Deveaux (Military) School and served his country as a Sergeant in the Army throughout World War II in Africa and Europe. He ran Leon W. Collins Dairy in NF in the 1950s and 1960s, and was a Past Master of the Masonic Lodge before moving to California in the 1980s to be with family.Leon is survived by his sister, Betty Rhoades of Berkeley, CA; his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Ray Parrish of Wildomar, CA; his son, William Collins of Aurora, CO; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.A memorial service will be held at Arlington Mortuary on March 26th in Riverside, CA, and burial at Riverside National Cemetery. The family requests no flowers. You gave me away at my wedding, you were always there for me with good cheer. You moved to California and loved the warm sun. May you be warm and comfortable in your new home reunited with family and friends. I'm sure you will give them a few laughs as you always like to do. Thank you for your service to our country. I am so greatful that I had the chance to spend a few of his last days with him. His last words to me were "I love you, Robyn" I will hold on to that for the rest of my life. You are so missed Grandpa, you will be forever in my heart and wonderful memories that will last a lifetime!

Do you remember the time we were horseback riding and the horse reared and you stayed in the saddle? I was so very proud of you that day!

I know you are with Grandma and Grandpa and all those who we have loved through the years and that you are now at peace and happy to be with them.

My sympathies, Bill, to you and your family. I still remember him cooking up a batch of sweet corn on the cob and being amazed that I would only eat three ears! He certainly lived a long and fruitful life. May he rest in peace.
