Leona A. Green
Leona A. Green, 60, of Palmerton, died September 5 in her home after a six-year battle with cancer. She was the wife of Barry Green, and they were married 41 years on September 4. She worked as a secretary for her familys business, Leon George II School Buses, Palmerton, for the last 23 years. Leona was a member of Jerusalem United Church of Christ, Trachsville. She loved country line dancing, camping, and attending dinner theater shows in Lancaster and Allentown. Most of all, she loved her family.Born in Palmerton, she was a daughter of the late Leon and Esther (Buck) George. Survivors: Husband; sons, Brian and wife Doreen of Palmerton, Bradley and wife Hannelore of Towamensing Twp; grandchildren, Jesse, Gage, Destiny and Jayden; sister, Lenora and husband Gerald Robertson of Palmerton; brother, Leon II and wife Danielle of Lehighton. Services: Memorial, 4 p.m., Sunday, September 9 in church, 545 Church Dr, Trachsville. No calling hours. Arrangements, T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, Palmerton. Leon,Brian and families,
I was saddened to hear your sister Leon and your mother Brian had left us and gone over to the next world. I am sure she will be missed by all she came into contact with. She was a kind and happy person, one in a million. My prayers as well as Leona's are with you all.

Leona was a ray of sunshine. She'll be sadly missed by family & freinds. enjoyed counrty dancing & playing cards with her.Knowing she is in Gods hands now is comforting. Leona is now dancing from cloud to cloud.

Dear Barry,
So sorry, we all lost a great friend and a true lady that certainly put up one fight for life. She will be missed by so many. Leona fought this dreaded disease head on, sadly it wasn't meant to be. She passed way too soon, but God has her now and she is no longer in pain or worrying about what will be.
