Peacefully on February 20, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Windsor on August 14, 1928. Cherished wife of Walter Smith "Smitty" for 46 years and of the late Anthony Muzzin (1967). Cherished mother of Toni (Don Thibert), the late Norman Muzzin (1973), Angela Muzzin, Mario Muzzin (Ella), Greg Muzzin, Chris Muzzin (Barb) and Lisa Sorrell (Mike). Treasured grandma and nona of Toni-Anne Toldo (David), Melanie Vitale (Joe), Andrea Yiannou (Peter), Christopher Parent (Laura), Ryan, Kyle, and Nicole Muzzin, Mackenzie and Lindsey Sorrell. Adored great-grandma of Adam, Jack, Noah, Zoey, Dalia and Jonathan. Dear sister of Ronald Anderson. Predeceased by her siblings Beatrice, Gloria, Norman, Roger, Emile "Pete", Alfred and Rita. Loved sister-in- law of Bea Drouillard. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Leona volunteered with the Canadian Mental Health Association for many years. She was a member of the CWL at St. Paul's Parish in LaSalle. Leona worked at Woolco and Sears department stores. She was very active in the Border City Pigeon Racing Club along with her husband Smitty. She was a proud resident of LaSalle since 1957 and was a die- hard Toronto Maple Leaf fan. Special thank you to the staff of Royal Oak Longterm Care and Southgate Residence for their dedication and love shown to mom.
