Leonard Ray (Lenny) Leigh CLINTON - Leonard Ray (Lenny) Leigh, 35, cherished father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, climbed out of his wheelchair, into his truck, and with a smile on his face, drove off into the horizon, crossing the finish line of life on April 18, 2005, after a courageous battle with cancer, never complaining about his lot in life. Lenny was born September 7, 1969, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Merlin Ray and Lorna Sue Duffin Stoddard. When Lenny was six, his mother married LeGrand B. Leigh. One year later, Lenny was adopted. He grew up in Plain City, and graduated from Weber High School in 1987. Lenny was a very loving person, who would do anything for his family and friends. His friends were his life and he loved spending time with them. He enjoyed bike racing, the sand dunes, working on cars, and painting. He was a talented artist, who specialized in fine airbrush work. He is survived by his daughter, Shalane Holm, his parents LeGrand and Lorna Leigh of Clinto n, his grandparents, Ray and Edith Stoddard of Idaho Falls, six brothers and sisters, Rick (Marj) Leigh, Craig (Marie) Leigh, Melanie (Trent) McDonald, Daniel (Mandy) Leigh, Kara Bosgieter, and Amber (Jacob) Olney, and 13 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leonard and Ermine Duffin. Lenny requested that no formal service be conducted. A private family memorial was held on April 18th. There will be a memory exchange at 2 p.m. on April 23, 2005, at Sandridge Park, 2100 W. 4400 S. Roy, Utah. Friends and family are invited to gather and share experiences in honor of the life Lenny lived. Stories of Lenny's life will be welcomed and greatly appreciated. Casual dress is requested. Since one of Lenny's greatest desires was to set a new speed record in his truck, his ashes will be scattered over the Bonneville Salt Flats, at a date yet to be determined. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Myers Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah 84067 to hel p offset funeral expenses. Send condolences to family at www.myers-mortuary.com We love you Lenny and we'll all miss you!! I love you Daddy. Love, Shalane.

Lenny is one of my finest friends and was a perfect example of how I hope to always view life. Through all of his hardest times, never once can I recall hearing him complain or feel sorry for himself. He would do anything for anyone who treated him with a ounce of respect, even when he was'nt feeling up to it. I am very happy to have been associated with him, and will miss him greatly even though he will never truly be gone.....
