Richland, Washington - Leroy D. Gamble was born in Pullman, WA to Dale and Ann Gamble. He was the first of three, Marvin (deceased 2023) and Sharon. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy. While in the Navy he married Janet had 2 children, Marvin (deceased) and Karen Lynn, they later divorced. On a tour in Scotland, he met Mary. They were married on April 22, 1963, in Glassgow, Scotland. They had 4 daughters Mary Ellen, Tillie, Flora Ann, Heather Lee. They traveled with the Navy for 13 more years. Leroy retired as a Senior Chief Electronics Technician. Afterwards he moved to Richland, WA excepting a position at Handford in the Fast Flux Test Facility until 1995. During that time Leroy continued to serve, next in the Coast Guard Axillary for 27 more years. He was also an Interstate truck driver, a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of America, and a longtime member of The Porsche Club of America. Leroy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary, his sister Sharon, his daughters Karen Lynn, Mary Ellen, Tillie(Chip), Flora Ann(Arthur), Heather Lee, Grandchildren Kendra Dale, Natasha, Nykkol Owen(Stephen), Michelle Lynn(Barrington), Kasey Scott, Klinten Mathew(Brittany), Great Grandchildren Kira Nykkol, Kayden Carver, Mathew Lee, and Elizabeth Rose. Celebration of Life will be held April 22, 2023 at Sunset Gardens off 240 in Richland at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to either The Girl Scouts of American or Camp Wooten in honor of Leroy Gamble.
