Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. You were in my thoughts this past weekend as I visited the grave of Granny Shields in Bermuda. My sincere condolences to you Aunt Shirley and the family.

I just read the obituary in The Vancouver Sun, and it brought back many memories of evenings spent in your living room on 27th(???) for house group meetings. Shirley, you and Les were incredibly giving people, and displayed such a wonderful example of married life to us young pre-nups and newlyweds. I also have a special memory of Les singing a beautiful rendition of Yellow Bird.
May God bless you and your family as you grieve your loss. And may you be comforted by the assurance we have of eternal life.
With deepest sympathy

Hi Shirley and family.

Sorry to have been out of the loop on this until today (Mar 13) - noticed this mentioned in the SDBC Bulletin this a.m. We have so many wonderful memories, including you and Les coming down to Jeremy & Erin's wedding in 2004 (they now have 3 kids, and send their condolences too).

I'm so sorry to have heard this news too late Shirley. I just received the information today (Sat Mar 12 at 10:30pm).

I would definitely have been at the memorial for Les since I have always had a deep appreciation of him, his friendship, his testimony, work ethics and his deep love for all his family.

I am deeply saddened by his passing but I know that we will see him again in eternity where he is now with his Lord and Savior.
