Leslie Wangsgaard Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 22, 2012.
Leslie Ann (Keith) Wangsgaard
April 9, 1959- May 20, 2012

Wife, Daughter, Nurse and most of all wonderful companion, slipped this mortal coil Sunday May 20. Her pain is now over. She helped so many others in their time of need and grief as both a homecare and Hospice nurse. Unfortunately, she was unable to overcome her own personal demons. She was born in Manhattan General Hospital in New York, City to Dawn Larsen (of Logan) and Roger Keith. She was later adopted by Edward Richards of Salt Lake City (deceased). She is survived by her mother Dawn Richards and her husband John Wangsgaard (formerly of Logan). Leslie accomplished many things in her life. She earned two bachelor degrees (one in communication another in nursing). She was a most beautiful belly dancer and performed with a troupe and by herself. She will be sorely missed. A life celebration will be held at the DAV building 800 South 300 East in Salt Lake City Saturday 26 at 2:00 PM

Maggie... Remember the good times with Leslie & Dawn. You opened your home and heart on special holidays, and anytime she needed you. You have been a wonderful Sister to her and those are memories you can hold dear in your heart. Time heals memories that will make you sad, and you will be able to look back and remember them with a smile on your face. May God give you comfort at this time. We love you.

Leslie touched so many lives for good and I am one of those people. I was never privileged to actually meet Leslie, but I did speak to her frequently by phone in the Salt Lake Homecare office. She had a sense of humor and professionalism that I will personally miss very much. We often talked of "painting the town". I love you, Leslie, and may God bless your family and comfort them while we are all apart. Get the party started, girlfriend, when it is my turn to give you a big hug on the other side.
