Letitia M. Young, age 97 of Albrightsville, PA formerly of Vincentown, NJ and Leadville, CO passed away Friday, April 9th at the Pleasant Valley Manor in Hamilton Township, Stroudsburg, PA.
Letitia was born in Philadelphia on April 25, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph J. and Lottie (Boyer) Watt.
She was the wife of the late Edward G. Young who passed away on September 20, 1995.
Letitia had worked on the Assembly Line for the former Hollingshead Chemical Company in Camden, NJ for 25 years until retiring in 1979.
She was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church in Mt. Pocono, PA.
We have been blessed with the presence of Letitia in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her daughter: Maryellen Thoren of Albrightsville and Leadville, CO; her son: George Rocks of Albrightsville, her stepdaughter: Dottie Mae Nelson of Vincentown, NJ.
She was the loving grandmother to: Donald, Douglas, Gerald Anthony, Terri, Edward, Rick & Lisa and several great grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister: June Watt and a brother Paul Watt both of Pleasantville, NJ.
In addition to her husband Edward, she was preceded in death by a son: Gerald Rocks, a daughter in law: Lola Rocks, two stepdaughters Dolly Herold and Petey Hunter and her husband Fred; two sons in law: Donald Thoren and Edward Nelson; two grandchildren: Kim Hunter and James Rocks and three brothers: Harry Watt, Albert Watt and Robert Watt.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, April 17th at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., with Rev. Susan Treanor officiating.
Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences from 10 am, Saturday until time of services at the funeral home.
Letitia will be entombed at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg, PA.
