Liberia Josephine Setlich, 79 of Laguna Hills, passed away August 25, 2014 in Mission Viejo, Ca. She lived Laguna Hills for 16 years, and previously lived in Claremont for 23 years; she was born December 30, 1934 in Lead South Dakota. Liberia graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Los Angeles. She was a Director of Claremont YMCA, Campus Supervisor at Chaparral Elementary School in Claremont. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She is survived by Sons: Greg (Lynn) Setlich of Chino, Eric (Laurette) Setlich of Laguna Nigel. Daughters: Stacey (Dean) Dragoyevich of Laguna Hills, Desa Setlich of Laguna Hills. Nine Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild, Liberia is preceded in death by her husband Peter J. Setlich.
Visitation: Friday, September 5, 2014 5-8 at Pierce Brothers Griffith Chapel with Rosary at 6pm.
Funeral Mass: Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes in Montclair. Interment: Bellevue Cemetery, Ontario

Very sorry to learn of Libby's passing. I'll always remember her as she was in the early 1960's. A pretty young blonde lady, waving with a smile as she passed by on a sunny day in her red 1959 Ford Galaxie convertible with the top down.

Dear Family of Libby, you may not remember me, but I was the daughter of Esteban De Santiago who died a couple of days after your uncle at the San Bernardino Burn Center May 1995. Libby and I wrote to each other every year, since we both lost our loved ones. Your family was so wonderful to us! It broke my heart when the Christmas card I had sent Libby was returned to me. truly it made my cry. I so looked forward to her Christmas card every year too, we each would write to each other. I am so sorry for your loss, I didn't even know that Libby had past. My mom too was saddened by the news. My heart goes out to all of you.

Our families were always intertwined when we were growing up, connected together with so many happy events, parties and celebrations. Dear Greg, Stacey, Desa and Eric, I have such wonderful memories of your mother and father. Your mother has always been such a gracious, classy, and elect woman. I find comfort in knowing that she and your dad are now together again! What a wonderful reunion for them. It would not be heaven for either of them without them being together! Her love for all of her extended family has blessed my life and I am grateful for that influence in my life. My love and hugs to all of you as you adjust to life without her being around her. My childhood is filled with so many beautiful memories of our families being together. Libby trusted me to babysit her 4 wonderful children for many years. She was a friend and inspiration to me! I was so thankful that I got to see Libby just a short time back. My heart goes out to Greg, Eric, Stacy and Desa and all their families during this difficult time.
