Lillian R. (Gondos) Marraccini, 92, of New Eagle, died Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, in Washington County Health Center. Born March 3, 1922, in Monongahela, she was the daughter of Steven and Maria (Kalafas) Gondos. A homemaker, Lillian was a 1940 graduate of Monongahela High School. She was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela and the Hoot Owls Ladies Auxiliary in New Eagle. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting and gardening. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, David A. and Sandra Marraccini of New Eagle, and Kenneth J. and Maribeth Marraccini of Venetia; four brothers, Albert Gondos of Charleroi, Alfred Gondos of The state of California, Paul Gondos of Levittown and Robert Gondos of McKeesport; three sisters, Ruth Gorondy of Virginia, Rose Marie Daittlilio and Barbara Lenzi of Carroll Township; five grandchildren, David Sr. (Sherri) Marraccini, Mark Marraccini, Traci (Frank Sr.) Peluso, Kevin (Dana) Marraccini and Greg Marraccini; five great-grandchildren, David Jr., Robert and Tabatha Marraccini and Frank Jr. and Maria Peluso. Preceding her in death were her husband, Marino Marraccinni who died in 1989; a son, Robert P. Marraccini who died in 1970 and a brother, Steven Gondos Jr. Friends will be received at the MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday. A prayer service will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Damien of Molokai Church, Friday, Aug. 8, 2014, at 10 a.m. with the Father William Terza as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
