Formerly of Chelmsford. MA; 93

FITCHBURG, MA -- Lillian A. Sidebottom, 93, formerly of Chelmsford, died May 30th, 2013, in Fitchburg, MA.

Born November 22nd, 1919, to Ralph and Anna Lavallee, Lillian graduated from Lowell High School in 1938, married William J. Sidebottom in 1943, and they moved to Chelmsford in the early 1950s where their family was raised. She was active as a Girl Scout and Brownie Leader, loved playing bridge, bingo and poker, and was an avid, accomplished knitter. Their home on Hilltop Terrace was the site of many family gatherings.They traveled widely and spent their later years in Dover, NH and Fort Myers, FL.

She was predeceased by her husband, William; her son, William L., and sisters, Jeanne Leonard and Cecile Donohue. She is survived by her sister, Claire Parent from Dracut; daughters Judith Putnam and her husband, David, of Wilbraham, MA, Marybeth Sidebottom of Chatsworth, CA; and her daughter-in-law Gwen Sidebottom of Lenox, IL, as well as by eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Burial will be private.
