OAKWOOD, Va. — Linda Carol Clifton, age 59, of Oakwood, Va. went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 4, 2009. Born May 24, 1949 in Buchanan County, Va., she was the daughter of the late Franklin Sisk and Francis Virginia Hall, of Tazewell, Va. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Living Word Outreach Church at Pilgrims Knob.In addition to her father ,she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Aaron Clifton; and one infant sister, Karen Hall.In addition to her mother she is survived by one daughter, Tina Aileen Maybank and husband, Mark of Jamestown, S.C.; one son, Timothy Aaron Clifton and wife, Julie of Jewell Valley, Va.; one sister, Lisa Dean Yost and husband, Russell; six grandchildren, Aaron Maybank, Zachary Maybank, Marcus Maybank, Brandon Maybank, Hunter Clifton, and Kelly Savanna Clifton.Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel at Keen Mountain, Va. with Brother James Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhills Memorial Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers will be Aaron Maybank, Zachary Maybank, Marcus Maybank, Brandon Maybank, Hunter Clifton, and Wesley Hylton.
