Linda Sue Hardesty, 62, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at her home. She was born January 6, 1953 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Mary Virginia and William M. McCarty, Sr. Linda was a mother to many and was very active in her family and friends spiritual journey. She was of the Baptist faith, was of the Republican Party and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Kenneth Hardesty; sons, Reverend Joshua Cole Hardesty of Salvisa, KY and Jacob Vance Hardesty of Owensboro; a daughter, Virginia Megan Hardesty of Owensboro; and a brother, Bill McCarty, Jr. (Lora) of Owensboro, KY. Services are 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 2015, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Linda Hardesty Memorial Fund, 3009 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
