Linda Soriano Obituary
Until her unexpected death, Linda had been enjoying a well-deserved retirement. From 1984 to 2016, she worked in the housekeeping department of Schneider Children's Hospital (now Cohen Children's) at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, N.Y. Before joining the hospital, she was a camera saleswoman at Alexander's Department Store.
Linda is survived by her sisters, Susan and Liz, their spouses, Jon and Lisa, and her beloved nephews, Josh and Gabe. She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Marcelina, in 1999.
She was a happy, honest, and self-sufficient person who lived simply and without pretense. She enjoyed Indian and Filipino food, the company of her cats, the color blue, needlework, photography, and local travel. At Christmas and other holidays, she loved to spoil her family with Italian pastries and other sweets.
Her family invites Linda's friends, neighbors, and former co-workers to a Memorial Mass on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 258-15 80th Avenue, Floral Park, N.Y. 11004. Phone: 718-347-6070. Private interment will take place at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Flushing, New York.
