I knew Linda back in the early 70s. We were friends, and I visited her as often as I could until I moved away. I was very fond of her. I sometimes listened to her play her trumpet in a small band.
We enjoyed having milk shakes together.

She knew I had a blind friend and asked me if that friend could get her a stylus so she could try to learn about writing in Braille. My blind friend got her a stylus, and Linda enjoyed practicing writing in Braille. I marveled at her curiosity and was glad I could arrange for something that brought her some enjoyment.

It was 50 years ago that I last saw Linda. I am saddened now in 2023 to learn of her passing so many years ago. Should anyone in her family read this, please know Linda was special to me, and I feel for your loss. She was a dear soul.

To Linda's family: I am so sorry I just found out about Linda's passing. I have been out on medical leave and not in contact with the 'world' lately. Linda was such a lovely person, an interesting, sweet, kind woman. I will ALWAYS remember her and all the laughter and wisdom she brought to people's lives. I am so sorry I missed her funeral. Linda was a great woman and will be missed. My sympathies to you all, especially Bobby and Laura, who I had come to know over the years. Arlene

Linda: I think I'll most miss your wonderful laugh. You could always light up a room with your smile, and fill it with your laughter. I learned so much from you, and I intend to carry those lessons with me for the rest of my life.
