Linda L. Heinzmann Ward, 87, formerly of Shepherd Rd., Weedsport, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025 at The Commons on Saint Anthony. Born in Auburn on December 2, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Martha Berger Heinzmann. She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1955, and retired as Branch Manager of KeyBank in Weedsport. Linda was a life member of both the Owasco Fire Department Auxiliary, the Weedsport Fire Department Auxiliary with over fifty years of dedicated service.

Also, she was a member of the Home Bureau and St. Luke's Church. In addition, Linda was involved within her Weedsport community serving on various local boards. Linda and her husband Earl traveled all over together and were caring foster parents. She enjoyed bird watching, flowers and gardening, ceramics and doing crafts.

Linda is survived by her husband Earl Ward, whom she married on May 4, 1957, and together they raised a wonderful family. She is survived by daughters Christine James (David) and Janet Clark (John); one son, William E. Ward; brother Robert W. Heinzmann (Beverly); sister Ruth A. Ingerick (Rex); six grandchildren, Jessica (Robert), Sarah, Katelyn, Jordan (Christina), Sam, and Heather (Christopher); nine great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Linda is predeceased by a daughter Karleen Ward.

Calling hours for Linda will be conducted from 3:00 to 5:00pm, Thursday, February 13, 2025 in the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South Street, Auburn. A funeral service will follow calling hours at 5:00 pm in the funeral home. Burial in Fort Hill Cemetery, will be held at the convenience of the family.

Contributions may be made in memory of Linda to the Weedsport Fire Dept. Auxiliary, 8909 North Willow Street, Weedsport, NY 13166, or the Alzheimer's Association, Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Avenue - 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001.

Earl and family...my prayers go to our holy father for Linda's soul and each of you who will miss her presence. I was a member of the Owasco department for almost 10 years and remember you well. Prayers will benefit her and each who speak them. I will be one of you. Trust God! Bill Wade
