Linda Wray Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Apr. 24 to May 4, 2023.
On Friday, April 21 (2023) Linda Jean "Jeannie" Martin Jenkins Wray, loving wife and mother, passed away at the age of 75 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer.
Jeannie was born on June 13, 1947, in Hasty, to Troy and Tressie Martin. She attended Western Grove High School. She married James Kirby Jenkins on Nov. 5, 1965. They raised two sons, Dustie and Quincy. After the passing of James Kirby, Jeannie was blessed to find John Wilson Wray. They married on July 3, 2002.
Jeannie was a long-time employee of First Federal Bank where she enjoyed interacting with their customers, the community, and serving as the administrative assistant to Larry Brandt. She had a passion for baseball, specifically the Yankees and all things Derek Jeter. She loved to talk about Aaron Judge and watching him hit home runs.
Jeannie's Bible was well "lived in" with almost every page receiving a highlight, underline or note. It is a lovely testament to the pure, Christ-like soul she shared with us all. She always knew she was a child of God and never wavered from her faith in Jesus Christ.
Her two sons, Dustie and Quincy, were her pride and joy. She loved them dearly and had her "quiet ways" of making sure they always knew it. They could do no wrong in her eyes. Jeannie was the best Mimi to her grandkids. She adored them all and would attend and watch as many events as she could. She always had a positive, loving and encouraging word to pass along. Her family meant more to her than anything.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy and Tressie Martin; her sister, Barbara; and her late husband, James Kirby.
Survivors include her husband, John Wilson Wray; her son, Dustie and his wife, Kristin, and their children, Kacie, Kirby and Clark; her son, Quincy and his wife, Kimberly, and their sons, Lawson and Connor; John's children, "Little" John, Kierstan and Michael, and his wife, Whitney; and John's grandchildren, Rachel, Reagan and Hattie.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 25, at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, at White Church Cemetery. Steve Powers, Jason Hart and Rick Quattlebaum will officiate. Pallbearers are Kirby Jenkins, Lawson Jenkins, Clark Jenkins, Connor Jenkins, "Little" John Wray and Carl Dean Curtis. Honorary pallbearers include the staff at Hospice of the Hills.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to White Church Cemetery, c/o John Wray, 215 Wray Lane, Harrison, AR 72601.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Jeannie and I went to school together. We shared lots of fun times. Ballgames, outing for school, sleepovers . It was always fun when we got together, which was all the time.
After we graduated, we lost touch. We would see each other occasionally. I didn´t know she was sick . Again I am so sorry for your loss. Losing someone close is a tragedy.
Sending all your family my thoughts and prayers.
