Lisa Coil Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2025.
Lisa Ann Coil (née Divitto), age 58, passed away on April 16, 2025, in Yorba Linda, California. Born on June 2, 1966, in Tarrytown, New York.

Lisa was a loving wife to Austin Coil of Yorba Linda, California for 36 years and a devoted daughter to William and Pam Divitto of Westchester, New York. She was also a cherished sister to Kandy (Divitto) and Kevin Harrington of Boston, Massachusetts and God Mother to Rocco Delanardis of Oviedo, Fl.

Her passing is deeply felt by all who knew her-as a wife, daughter, sister. Lisa was also devout Catholic.,

Lisa lived a vibrant and passionate life that left a mark on all who knew her.

A proud graduate of Croton Harmon High School's Class of 1984, and Graduate Of Robert Fiancé Beauty school in NYC. 1986

Also earning her CDL 1987 in Florida.

Lisa was still in search of her niche. Lisa's love for speed and engines began early. When Lisa was first born her father named his race care "Lisa Ann" and took her to Raceway Park for many years. That introduction sparked a lifelong passion that would define much of her journey. From those early days at the track, for those who knew the Twilight Zone was her first up close look into top fuel racing. Lisa pursued her dreams with determination and heart-earning recognition as Miss Raceway Park and Miss English Leather. For being prematurely born, she certainly grew up to tall and grew up right!

Lisa's love for drag racing wasn't just a pastime-it became the backdrop to her life story. It was at the track that she met her beloved husband,Austin Coil. The crew found a purse, inside was her address book. She obviously was there at their pit and the crew decided to track Lisa down since her name and number was listed. From there Lisa and Austin started talking on the phone more and more and blossomed into romance and visits to Catalina Island. This led to Marriage on QE2 in Long Beach, California. Lisa and Austin have been married over 33 yrs. On their off time they were able to have fun riding their dirt bikes in the canyons behind their home. They loved to cook and BBQ and listen to good music. Lisa traveled alongside Austin in their bus with their cherished dogs by her side, finding peace exploring all over. Whenever Lisa came home to Croton her and Austin would always go visit the Croton Dam for hours watching is commanding power. Which they both loved to look at.. Beyond the racetrack, Lisa found joy in life's simple pleasures: she adored her dogs, had a deep appreciation for beautiful flowers, and never missed a chance to have a few of Austin BBQ food and to turn the music up. Her warmth and energy made her well-known wherever she went.

Their shared devotion to racing forged a deep bond in their marriage that carried them across the country together. Lisa in her bus following the demanding schedule of Austin's professional career.

Her commitment to the sport culminated in earning her an opportunity-an extraordinary achievement-and she proudly drove Tom Morty's Drastic Plastic. Lisa's presence in the racing community was unmistakable; she was known not only for her skill and dedication but also for her radiant smile and infectious enthusiasm.

A funeral service will be held on May 24, 2025, from 12:15PM to 2:00 PM at Sleepy Hollow Chapel & Cemetery, located at 540 N. Broadway in Tarrytown, New York (10591). Lisa will be laid to rest near her grandfather-a return home filled with love and remembrance.

May she burn rubber in Heaven. Rest in peace, Lisa.
