Lisa Hayworth-Berry Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 6, 2025.
Lisa Faith (Hayworth) Berry was born on September 10, 1960 to John Sr. and Faith Darlene Hayworth in Wichita, KS. She attended Bethany Lutheran Church and School where the seed of faith was planted that she carried with her for the remainder of her life." She was just a girl who loved Jesus!" Lisa married Kenny Wood and had 2 daughters, Stephanie Lynn (deceased) and Kendra Shay. Lisa married Kerry Stewart and had a son Kyle Gordon Stewart. Lisa's final marriage was to Rod Berry that included a bonus daughter Jessica (Berry) Worthey.

Lisa was a people person who loved her interactions with the community. She captured the precious moments of thousands of friends and families as a photographer at Olan Mills. After leaving Olan Mills, she took her skills to Bank IV, State Farm, and finally as the director of dispatching with the railroad. Lisa loved to restore old furniture and make it great again. She was just beginning to settle in and enjoy retirement when her health began to fail and she unexpectedly left us on April 17th 2025.

Lisa was the kind of person who would help others and go above and beyond. Everything she did was in "the Lisa way" and it was done to show love. We didn't always understand it, but love was always her intention. Sometimes the little things may not have seemed like much, but she was giving you the best she had to offer.

Lisa was preceded in death by her parents John Sr. and Faith Darlene Hayworth, Daughter Stephanie Lynn Wood, Brothers: John Jr. and Daniel Hayworth, Sister: Alona Franklin. Lisa is survived by daughter Kendra (Brian) Talkington, son Kyle (Tasha Tyson) Stewart and Bonus daughter Jessica (Arquan) Worthey. Aunt Connie Schmidt. Grandchildren: Katelyn (Blue) Stephens, Kaleb & Sophia Talkington, Keelen, Graceyn & Noah Stewart. Bonus grandchildren: Payden Dishman, Aiden and Adrian Worthey. Great grandchildren: Karter & Maesyn Stephens. Sisters: Kathy (Bill) Page, Amy McClellan. Brother: Anthony Hayworth. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunts, and friends.

I met Ron and Lisa, and they joined the Humane Society as volunteers with me. Lisa was president and the soft spot she had for animals and people was absolutely amazing. I will never ever forget this woman. I am so sorry for the family`s loss It was a great pleasure to know her.
