Lisa A. Wolfe of Chicago, Illinois passed away on March 25, 2025, at the age of 61. She was born on April 5, 1963, in Princeton, New Jersey to Richard and Kathleen Wolfe.

Lisa was a public relations/communications professional with more than 35 years of experience. Lisa was the founder and principal of L. Wolfe Communications, a public relations agency serving the education market. In that role, she provided public relations support for Pearson across most of

its U.S. businesses for nearly a decade.

Before starting L. Wolfe Communications in 2000, Lisa was a senior vice president at Grant/Jacoby, Inc., heading the agency's Microsoft team, which was responsible for the company's global education public relations and all public relations activities for the Midwest Region (Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin). In addition, her breadth of experience includes serving in senior communications positions in a major urban school system, a large professional association and a mid-sized city government.

Lisa was the author of "Library Public Relations, Promotions and Communications: A How-To-Do-It Manual," published by the American Library Association and used as a textbook at Master of Library Science programs around the country. She also authored numerous articles on communications strategies for the education and library markets.

A graduate of Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, Lisa held a Master of Arts in organizational development and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism. In addition, she did doctoral course work in Cultural and Educational Policy Studies at Loyola University-Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her father Richard Wolfe. She is survived by her mother Kathleen Wolfe and brother, John (Audra) Wolfe and nephews, Richard John (RJ) and Allen John (AJ) Wolfe.

A Celebration of Life was held on June 21, 2025.
