Lloyd C. Fortenberry

Lloyd C. Fortenberry, 75, of Woodville, passed away, Thursday, July 22, 2010 at The Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas. Funeral services will be Monday, July 26th at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with burial in Campground Cemetery all in Woodville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 25th from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Lloyd was born July 7, 1935 to Oscar & Lilla Chambless Fortenberry in Tyler County, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Woodville, a United States Army Veteran and was a self-employed entrepreneur. Lloyd was called PaPa or Big Lloyd by his grandchildren. He loved his cows, his ranch work, the outdoors, and working his property. He enjoyed tinkering and piddling, was always interested in the weather and enjoyed keeping up with the business world. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mary Ann Stoever Fortenberry of Woodville; son & daughter-in-law, Keith & Tara Fortenberry of Woodville; daughters & sons-in-law, Kim & Keith Smith of Huntington and Kathy & Johnny White of Woodville; brother & sister-in-law, Cecil & Margie Fortenberry of Woodville; sisters & brother-in-law, Billie Polk of Woodville and Jane & Bertis Best of Woodville; grandchildren, Aaron Smith, Hannah Fortenberry, Harlie Fortenberry, Abby Smith, Savanah White, Logan White, and Seth White.
